Sonja graduated from Future Hair Training Centre in 2005 and has been working behind the chair ever since. Her role evolved 7 years ago when she became the owner of Rootz.

Sonja remembers wanting to be a stylist at a very young age practicing her cutting skills on dolls, her sisters, and the neighbor kids before she was even in kindergarten. Having a salon of her own was always the plan.

​As a stylist she has gained extensive experience in all aspects of hairstyling, but these days focuses on colour, extension work, and her role as an educator in the salon. In her spare time she’s in the barn tending to her ponies. ​
